Blinkit’s cofounder and CEO Albinder Dhindsa announced the launch on LinkedIn, sharing that three of the company’s stores are now operational in Jammu and are already delivering essential products to nearby areas.

The new Blinkit stores are located in key localities in Jammu, including Trikuta Nagar, Roop Nagar, and Akhnoor Road. These stores are already serving more than 10 nearby localities, providing residents with fast, on-demand access to groceries, daily essentials, and other products. The quick commerce platform’s entry into Jammu comes as part of a broader strategy to tap into the rising demand for ultra-fast delivery services in smaller cities, reflecting the increasing popularity of on-demand shopping across India.

Blinkit’s launch in Jammu follows a broader pattern of quick commerce companies seeking growth opportunities in Tier II and Tier III cities. Recently, the company appointed Vipin Kapooria, Flipkart’s former vice president for business finance, as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The addition of Kapooria’s experience is expected to bring valuable financial insights and expertise, crucial for Blinkit as it scales up its operations and sustains its rapid expansion.
