Finance can be intimidating—a maze of numbers, jargon, and regulations. For Anurag Agarwal, it’s a subject meant to be understood by everyone, not just industry insiders. At 35, as the founder of Anurag Agarwal Classes, he’s on a mission to simplify finance and inspire confidence in learners across the globe.
With a BCOM, CA, and CFA to his name, Anurag’s early career was firmly rooted in the corporate world. For eight years, he worked in audit, due diligence, and fundraising, building both expertise and a sharp understanding of how the finance industry operates. But something was missing. “I saw too many capable people struggle—not because they lacked intelligence, but because no one explained finance in a way that truly connected with them,” he recalls. That realization led to a bold move: leaving a secure, high-paying job to pursue teaching full-time.

Since 2021, he has specialized in CFA coaching, breaking down complex topics like investments, risk, and ethics into simple, relatable lessons—often with humor to ease the learning curve. His ability to connect with students from diverse backgrounds has become his trademark. “Finance is just another language,” he says. “My role is to make students fluent in it.”
The shift from corporate professional to educator wasn’t easy. Financial uncertainty, adapting to different learning styles, and keeping pace with changing regulations were early hurdles. But the support of his wife and the values instilled by his father—humility, perseverance, and dedication—kept him focused.
Today, Anurag advocates for practical, skill-based education, stronger teacher training, and the use of technology to reach underserved students. His philosophy for aspiring educators is simple: “Master your subject, but connect with your students. Knowledge informs, but connection transforms.”
For Anurag, every student who gains confidence in finance is an award in itself. And in that way, his impact is measured not in trophies, but in transformed futures.
