That gap became her mission, and in just a few short years, she has built Cosmosheer into one of India’s most promising cosmeceutical brands, where results and trust come first.

Garima, now 35, is no stranger to leadership. As the Associate Vice President of DigiLantern, she transformed the digital presence of over 600 healthcare clinics across India. This role gave her rare insight into the way doctors and patients connect, the challenges of communication in healthcare, and the trust consumers place in medical professionals. It also revealed a critical market need—dermatology-backed products that could deliver on their promises, not just look good on a shelf.

In March 2024, at the age of 32, Garima decided to fill that void. With just ₹5 lakh in starting capital, she launched Cosmosheer, a brand built on a simple yet powerful principle: science before slogans. The goal was to combine the rigour of modern dermatology with the wisdom of Indian herbal care, producing formulations that are both effective and accessible.

The approach worked. In less than two years, Cosmosheer achieved a turnover of ₹12 crores, a milestone driven not by flashy advertising but by consistent, visible results. The brand’s products target common but stubborn concerns—pigmentation, acne, hair fall, and compromised skin barriers—while also promoting preventive habits like sun protection. Key ingredients such as Niacinamide, Salicylic Acid, Peptides, Caffeine, and Licorice Extract are carefully chosen for their proven efficacy, and every formula is co-developed with dermatologists to ensure safety, quality, and impact.

What truly sets Cosmosheer apart is its doctor-first approach. Instead of positioning itself as a competitor to professional care, the brand partners with dermatologists, offering them trusted products for clinical recommendations. At the same time, it educates consumers on making informed skincare choices, bridging the gap between medical-grade care and everyday use.

Breaking into a crowded, influencer-driven market without overhyped claims wasn’t easy. “Trust isn’t built overnight,” Garima admits. “We had to stay patient, let the products speak for themselves, and resist the urge to take shortcuts.” Her leadership style is anchored in creativity, honesty, and patience—creativity for product innovation and branding, honesty in marketing and communication, and patience in perfecting formulations before launch.

Garima’s inspiration comes not from celebrity entrepreneurs, but from doctors, scientists, and researchers who put evidence before everything else. Their integrity and patient-first mindset align closely with her own values and fuel her drive to make Cosmosheer a brand that professionals and consumers can rely on.

The journey hasn’t been without challenges. Convincing consumers to choose a new brand over established names required relentless consistency. Competing with companies backed by massive marketing spends meant focusing on credibility rather than volume. Still, each challenge reinforced her core belief: authenticity outlasts trends.

Her advice to aspiring entrepreneurs is refreshingly straightforward: Don’t overthink—execute. She encourages founders to solve real problems, immerse themselves in their product, and pay close attention to genuine feedback from their audience. “Every improvement we’ve made has come from listening—really listening—to what doctors and customers tell us,” she says.

Looking ahead, Garima envisions Cosmosheer expanding across India through clinically partnered distribution and a stronger direct-to-consumer platform. She’s also preparing for a future where skincare becomes more personalized, with tech-driven dermatology solutions and deeper investment in R&D to deliver even more targeted results.

This vision has already earned recognition. In 2025, Cosmosheer received the Excellence in Cosmeceutical Innovation Award at the SMEBiZZ MSME Star Awards, affirming its place as a credible, science-driven leader in the category. But for Garima, accolades are secondary to impact. “Awards are an honour,” she reflects, “but the real win is hearing from someone who says our product changed their skin for the better.”

As Cosmosheer grows, one thing remains constant—Garima’s commitment to building not just a skincare brand, but a culture of transparency in an industry that often thrives on illusion. By standing firmly on the pillars of science, collaboration, and honesty, she is quietly but powerfully reshaping how Indian consumers approach skincare.
