Multisectoral Collaboration to Drive Growth
AI Pragya stands out as a collaborative initiative, involving multiple state government departments such as education, health, agriculture, and rural development. The cross-sectoral nature of this programme ensures that the benefits of digital transformation reach all corners of the state — from smart farming techniques in rural areas to data-driven solutions in public health and education.
The Centre for e-Governance (CEG), operating under the Department of IT and Electronics, will serve as the nodal agency for the implementation of this ambitious programme. The CEG will coordinate efforts among stakeholders, manage the digital infrastructure, and ensure that training modules are relevant, up-to-date, and industry-aligned.
Key Objectives of AI Pragya
- Skilling 10 lakh individuals across diverse demographics, focusing on youth, professionals, and students.
- Enhancing technical literacy in AI, machine learning, data science, blockchain, and cybersecurity.
- Encouraging innovation and entrepreneurship in tech-based sectors.
- Supporting the digital transformation of government services, agriculture, healthcare, and education.
- Creating employment opportunities through skill development and placement support.
Accessible and Inclusive Learning
To ensure accessibility, AI Pragya will offer both online and offline training options. The programme will leverage existing infrastructure such as government colleges, ITIs, and rural skill development centers. Special attention will be given to rural youth, women, and underprivileged communities, aligning with the government’s vision of inclusive digital growth.
The curriculum will be designed in partnership with industry leaders, academic institutions, and technology experts. Participants will receive certification upon completion, enhancing their employability in both national and global markets.

By equipping lakhs of citizens with next-generation skills, the state is not only fostering individual empowerment but also catalyzing its journey toward becoming a trillion-dollar digital economy.
